The ancient medium of encaustic painting provides Carol with the perfect form of expression. Her work stems from the notion that the act of seeing occurs within us: the world we view is one we ourselves create. Influenced by the luminous landforms surrounding her Okanagan Falls studio, Carol’s colourful, quirky paintings fuse the outer and inner worlds in landscapes that are filtered and altered by the mind’s eye---and by the artist’s hand.

“It’s all about point of view”, she says. “Each painting is a fanciful cartography of the journey between you and me.”
